The French tuner Patrice Parot developed this show car together with well-known company’s like TSW, Yokohama and Sony. The project was based on a Honda Accord wagon. Honda Parotech first was presented at Paris Motor Show 2001. After first debut it had long tour around the world.
After three years it’s still very impressive and futuristic. Lets take a closer look at this show machine. Then such projects are sponsored by commercial company’s they used to put everything the best that is on current production. In my opinion this case is exactly the same. At first look crazy size wheels make biggest impression. Patrice had some work fitting 19-inch wide TSW Zenon wheels with 235/35 ZR19 Yokohama AVS Sport tyres at front and 245/35 ZR19 at rear. 12 cm wider front and rear wheel arches make more aggressive look.
380 x 32 mm four piston monoblock calipers at front and 322 x 32 mm four piston monoblock caliper rear brakes made by Mov’It supply braking power. Brakes were made by special order because of TSW CENTERLOCK wheels.
Pop up the hood! Well performance is not the strong part of this demo car. 2 liter 4 cylinder 16 valves Honda engine was modified with Arias pistons, induction kit with electronic compressor to force air into engine and direct port 4-nozzle nitrous system. I don’t know how this car goes with nitrous, but I’m sure that without gas it will get out of puff very soon. But who cares about performance then car has huge hill of ICE.
Head unit CDX-M770, CD/DVD player DVP-F55, 7-inch LCD display, video camera in front bumper linked to virtual reality glasses, 3 x X-Plod amps, 2 x 12-inch subwoofers, 6 x 6,5-inch medium speakers and 4 tweeters. This is the fact that Sony has a wide range of in car entertainment products. Interesting why were is no Play Station burning Gran Turismo.
